I’ve been finding every excuse to get dressed up these days cause sometimes just feels like to get all dolled up! The past year. I’ve had much more than my fair share of days where I’ve lived in yoga leggings and oversized sweaters, so these days I’m making more of an effort to find pieces that are a little more fitted and feminine, yet still stretchy and soft. Matching sets have been making a big comeback this season, and I’ve been absolutely obsessed! I love that matching sets make it so easy to get dressed and look put together, and the fact that I can mix / match makes for so many more outfit choices too!
This beautiful off-shoulder sweater skirt set is one that you’ll want to get your hands on quick. The style is stunningly beautiful with it’s ruffle and pleat details. The fabric is fully lined and made of super soft sweater material that is lightly ribbed. I love the romantic dusty rose color, and while it’s a little hard to see from the picture, there are subtle gold flecks that give these pieces that elevated final touch. The skirt is also fully lined and even appreciate that there are no zippers or buttons to worry about, just a stretchy waistband!
I also have to say that the off-shoulder design of this top is really well done. There are times when off-shoulder tops don’t stay down off my shoulder or limit my arm mobility so it’s almost like I have little T-Rex arms! I didn’t have any issues with these sleeves and found that the top stayed put on my arms the entire time. The ruffle neckline is super pretty, but I will say that it really has to be styled as off-the-shoulder as the ruffles don’t quite lay right when the sleeves are pulled up over the shoulder (a trick I use when I’m styling off-the-shoulder tops for less dressy outings!).

Ok, let’s talk about these shoes. I love that Express has started offering shoes now as I can legit pick up an entire head-to-toe outfit when shopping! I love the braided sandal trend that’s everywhere this season and the lace-up addition dresses it up just a bit without going over the top. I did find these particular shoes to run a bit big, although I sized up a half size since my exact size wasn’t available — I would recommend going down if you’re in-between sizes like me!

This matching set is one that I’ll be saving to wear when we go to a friend’s wedding later this summer, but in the meantime I will be wearing these pieces separately so I can get some more mileage out of them. For something more casual, the skirt can be swapped out for jeans (just bought this pair!) or I can change out the off-shoulder top for this simple body contour bodysuit instead! I’m sharing a few other matching set options from Express that I’m loving (neeeeed this red skirt set look (top, bottom)!).
