Oh how I wish it was February all over again… I’d like to erase the latter part of March completely and I am wishing upon a star I was back at Walt Disney World for our Creators Celebration–travel is on my mind all day everyday as of late [as I’m...

In case you missed my first recap, you can read there post here. But let’s get back to business and chat about days 3 and 4 of our trip: this time we are park hopping to Animal Kingdom + Hollywood Studios.

Thursday morning, we were up and at it before the day truly started as we hopped on the buses and got to experience Animal Kingdom before the park opened. The Disney team treated us to a sunrise breakfast at the world of Avatar and then we were able to ride Navi River Passage AND Flight of Passage = talk about incredible. We hadn’t been able to ride “Flight” on our last trip so getting the chance to do it twice this time totally made up for it = Mimi and I might have cried it was so good ;). A truly unique ride that only the Disney Imagineers could create.

Later that morning, we headed to Africa for Kilamanjaro Safaris for the ultimate wildlife excursion [another fav at AK for us!!] and then the girls got to ride Expedition Everest for the very first time… I think it’s safe to say I’ve got two little roller coaster-loving ladies which makes this mama happy!! We dined at Tusker House for lunch with Mickey, Daisy, Donald and Goofy before heading to our second park for the day.

Hollywood Studios is hands down where EVERYONE wants to be right now with the opening of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge so we’ll go into great detail on that in a bit, but our afternoon started out in Toy Story Land AKA my favorite part of Hollywood Studios. We played all the arcade games shoot-out style in Toy Story Mania and then rode Slinky Dog Dash THREE times… yes, it’s that incredible and fun for EVERYONE [P.S. if you can ride it at night, do it—such a cool view of the park when it’s lit up with all the twists and turns you’re sure to enjoy from this coaster].

the new Skyliner… convenient transport back to Hollywood Studios + Epcot from the Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts

We then headed to the Tower of Terror and I thought my girls would enjoy the thrills and spills = not so much. I don’t think I’ll be talking them into experiencing that one again for a long time… oops!! Don’t worry though, I made up for it with Mickey Ice Cream bars which always cures any Disney dilemma. For dinner, we went to a sit-down favorite of ours we discovered on our last trip: Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano. Order the spaghetti and meatballs and you can thank me later!

the latest attraction: Mickey + Minnie’s Runaway Railway… it wasn’t open just yet,
but SO looking forward to ride this on our next visit!!

That night, the park closed at 8PM and the Disney Creators gathered at the entrance of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge so that we could all experience this new destination together. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE, even for someone who hasn’t seen all the movies [yes, I am totally calling myself out here even though my kids have].

We were able to ride Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run [where we acted as the Pilot and Gunner], indulged in super space worthy desserts made especially for our crew and then got to finish our night with Rise of the Resistance. I’ll preface this by saying I know it’s nearly impossible to get boarding groups/tickets for this all new experience, but if you’re able to make it happen, DO IT! The entire start-to-finish masterpiece blew all of us away… the details, the Storm Troopers encounter, the trackless coaster, and drops throughout will have you wondering what in the world they will think of next = I promise you won’t be disappointed and hands down this is THE BEST ATTRACTION I’ve ever had the chance to ride: well worth the wait!!

Join me soon whe recap my third and final blog post for the Disney Creators Celebration, also known as the Disney Dream Cruise Ship. This was our second time embarking on a big ship with the Disney Cruise Line and it was just as special as we remembered. So many more memories to highlight and I promise to include all the details you won’t want to miss…
